Girls' Night; With a Healthy Twist

If you're feeling past due for a girls night out, but want to have a bit of fun without all the negative side effects, just know you're not alone. Happily, there are a few expert tips that can help ensure you have a great night without adding a bunch of sugars or additives into the evening, and you can still get in that quality time with your girls.


  • Choose a bubbly champagne, it's light on the calories and full of as many antioxidants as a red wine 
  • If you like liquor, try tequila. It contains less sugar, and fewer carbs; also a lower potential for a hangover in comparison to other liquors.
  • Avoid any drinks that use sweetened mixers to finish them off
  • Go for the drinks that have fruits and veggies in them; mojitos, sangrias, bloody marys, and many other customized drinks fall into this category.
