We’ve all heard the myth that if you shave unwanted hair, it will only grow back darker and potentially thicker. Turns out, that’s not true.

You hair grows widest at the base, narrowest at the tip. So when you shave a hair, it’s being cut at the base. Therefore the widest part grows out, making the hair appear thicker.
