Pale skin is often attributed to
genetics. It’s also indicative of someone without sun damage, which generally
means healthy skin. There are a few tricks to applying makeup for those with
very pale skin that will avoid a washed out look.
To
brighten up: Avoid bronzer, and opt for a burst of color on your cheeks with a
bit of blush. Think of your fair complexion like a blank canvas.
Easy
over Eyes:
Use pastel colors up to your brow bone to draw attention to your eyes. Avoid
dark colored eye shadows which will make your skin look more pale.
Hair
color:
Talk to your stylist about a hair color that works naturally well with your
paler skin tone. In general, avoiding stark, dark colors is best.
Don’t
over-shimmer: Light reflecting powders will work against you here, making your
skin appear unreal and faded. Choose a light powder foundation instead for a
touch of makeup that’s not overly apparent.
