Our skin is often not at it’s best
during our teens. It can be a rough period of time while your skin transitions
due to all the changing hormones.
Establish
a routine. Washing your
face regularly is just as important as brushing your teeth. So incorporate it
into both the morning and evening routines. Teens should look for products that
are formulated to tackle oiliness and breakouts.
Exfoliate
Regularly. Two to three
times a week is best. Exfoliating helps remove dirt and debris while smoothing
the texture of the skin.
Watch what you eat. Avoid processed
sugars and excessive amounts of dairy as both have been proven to increase
breakouts. Drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated. A zinc supplement can
aid the skin in healing.
